You can open a file in any of these four formats and then split it into as many smaller files as you wish, and save them later with the same extension or in a completely different format! Therefore, Absolute MP3 Splitter not only splits but also converts at the same time! You can chose how and where you want your original file to be splitted in a very simple way. Absolute MP3 Splitter can create audio chunks of a certain length as defined by the user, either by using time intervals or file size. Or you can also listen to the file you need to split and select the point(s) where you want to cut your audio. The final result can be stored in any of the four formats supported, regardless of the format of the original file.

This same versatility is also true for the merge option. You can add as many files as you wish, in as many of the supported formats as you like, and then decide the audio format of your choice in which the final file should be merged and converted.
